DHS OIG: Major Management Challenges Facing the Department of Homeland Security
The DHS Office of the Inspector General issued its latest look at the Department’s management challenges last month. While the document did not hold any surprises it reinforced the numerous department-wide and operational challenges faced by Janet Napolitano’s management team.  Acquisition management, information technology management, grants and financial management, critical infrastrucutre protection, border security, among others topped the list as priorities for the Department.
